RELO

The Regional English Language Office (RELO) supports the mission of the Embassy of the United States of America by strengthening the U.S. – Indonesia Strategic Partnership by building capacity through English teaching and learning in Indonesia.

U.S. academic institutions and experts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) collaborated to develop the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) Program. This program promotes the mutual exchange of culture and provides free access to teaching and learning materials that can be reused, adapted, and shared with others.

Through the OPEN Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by FHI 360, the Regional English Language Office offers professional development opportunities to Indonesian English language educators, professionals, and learners. 

The OPEN Program offers free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), which are open to many participants. Some MOOCs are five weeks, and some are longer. Please carefully read the course description for each. An optional orientation module precedes each MOOC.
