Coursera Visits ICE Institute: Strengthening Cooperation to Enhance Educational Quality

Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia – On June 3, 2024, in a significant step to strengthen cooperation, ICE Institute's strategic partner, Coursera, a leading online learning platform, visited ICE Institute. The visit was represented by Mr. Tarun Nallua as Enterprise Account Director and Ms. Khusboo Kumar as Customer Success Manager from Coursera. The arrival of the partner brought a series of new initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education through courses offered at ICE Institute, including a 'Capacity Building' training program focused on developing teaching skills for lecturers. This initiative will provide lecturers with access to the latest online courses from Coursera in various relevant fields of study.

The discussions also covered strategies for credit-based learning in academic planning, including utilizing blended courses that combine online and face-to-face learning, as well as stand-alone courses that are entirely online. On the Coursera platform, ICE Institute has the flexibility to integrate its academic programs with a variety of elective courses available. Additionally, in terms of learning content development, ICE Institute can use the Course Builder feature provided by Coursera to build and manage new courses as needed.

In developing learning programs, especially through Course Builder, ICE Institute can collaborate with Coursera to design courses tailored to current specific needs. In this collaboration, lecturers are given the freedom to create assessments and set the difficulty levels for each course to be offered. The importance of this collaboration was emphasized by Mr. Tarun Nallu, who stated that the partnership between ICE Institute and Coursera could be key to developing innovative and adaptive programs.
